Have I mentioned yet that I’m just about to launch a photography studio dedicated entirely to pets? I’m super excited at the prospect of being able to offer both location shoots and studio sessions.
The studio is based in Larbert – don’t worry if you haven’t heard of Larbert before it’s only 10 minutes from Cumbernauld and 25 minutes from the centre of Glasgow. We are right beside the Falkirk Wheel. The studio is inside Delta Studios which is an amazing place. As well as private studios they run art classes open to the whole community and have an amazing gallery space. The studio will be a shared space with my partner Claire, she will be meeting clients there for her web design business – Wildflowers & Pixels.
My friend Elaine brought Milo to the studio to help out with some portfolio shots and I was in way panicked when Milo decided to land on my shoulder – anyone that says differently is a liar!
Milo was an absolute star and handled being in a strange environment very well. It helps that Elaine is a Clinical Animal Behaviourist and welfare is always at the front of her mind, a big privilege that she trusted me with Milo.
One of the things I would love for the studio is for it to be truly a pet studio with all manner of little and large pets coming through, well maybe not too large as I don’t think a horse would fit in. Although if anyone has a large industrial space where I could photograph horses that would be amazing – I can dream.
